"We closed our third home loan with America First a few weeks ago, and the whole process was very smooth, just like it always is. It's very difficult to find rates as low as America First's, especially with the low fees.
From the first moment, we knew exactly what the costs would be, and everyone (including the title officer at closing) was very friendly and helpful.

Refinance with AFCU, no regrets!!

"When we bought our first home we didn't approach America First. We have regretted that for 5 years. dealing with our old bank was a nightmare, nothing was easy and their customer service was unable to give service. This year, thanks for lower rates, we refinanced with AFCU and we are looking forward to years of great service. The only note I do have is that the process was delayed due to the remodeling we were doing and this caused us 'no end' of headaches to get all the work done for the appraisal in time... otherwise it was a great move and a wonderful rate too. We will be saving 5 years off our old mortgage too... woo hoo!!"

Very Streamlined and Easy Finance Process

"We were very impressed with the speed of processing of our last refinance.
Over the past 30 years we have financed all of our homes through AFCU and have been very satisfied. Quite frankly, I don't ever foresee a reason to go elsewhere the next time we finance a house. The fact that AFCU does not sell off their mortgages is a huge plus in our book.
We have always been impressed with the level of professionalism of their financing processes. We recommend AFCU every chance we get."

"I loved having my refinance done by America First. I have been a devout A 1st customer for over 27 years. My entire refinance was handled via phone and fax right up to the closing. The closing was arranged at a location near me at my convenience.
The entire process was literally hassle free! I made the initial call, got the preliminary approval, faxed the documents they requested. Was contacted by phone for the appraisal which was done at my convenience and on time, received a call telling me they were ready to close which was also done at a time, date, and place for my convenience. It was honestly pain free.
Of course I have always had this type of experience with A 1st; whether it be the recent refinance, car loans, savings or checking accounts, VISA transactions, you name it. Always fast friendly service with a smile and excellent rates for saving and borrowing. Thanks America First!"

"I really have enjoyed banking with AFCU. Their products and services have been second to none. I am really happy with the rate and terms I obtained. My only complaint is that after I applied I did not hear from anyone for a very long time (several weeks). Once they started working on my loan I was given a several new contact persons. It would be better if they only had one loan officer during the entire process. AFCU was one of the only banks that would even return my call since everyone was so busy with refinancing. So overall I am happy"

"I have banked with America First my entire life and have had several loans through them and never had any problems previously. I recently refinanced my home through America First and will never do it again. First I was pawned off to three different loan officers throughout the process. I finally ended up with a fairly new loan officer who did not understand the current lending requirements and had to keep asking for additional information. This drug the process on longer than it should have taken and in the meantime we ran past the 31st of January to close and ended up closing on the 2nd of February. This would have been fine except the fact that I had an existing FHA loan and for those of you who have an FHA loan kow that it does not matter when you close in the month you pay for the entire month of interest. And I am now out hundreds of dollars."

"I have been with AFCU for over 20 years and I can still say that it is the best place to bank. I purchased a vehicle using the dealership financing about two years ago and recently transfered the loan to AFCU. The loan agents at AFCU handled the entire transaction with little intervention on my end. It went so smooth that I was a little surprised when it was all done the next day! Now I can make my loan payments online directly from my checking account. The best part is that I don't live in Utah and still the service is unbeatable!

Easiest Mortgage Financing I've Ever Received

"AFCU was friendly and upfront from the beginning. We refinanced to a lower rate and they do not sell their mortgage loans to some out of state organizations. The only draw back we experienced were the lines of communication were somewhat limited and we were not always informed of up to date proceedings. The approval time and closing time were good, but I have had faster. Overall, with online banking and your mortgage right there on your account page... I highly recommend AFCU for your mortgage needs!"

"We refinanced our home for a lower rate and to get some cash to pay off some student loans. We were hesitant to refinance and go through the mortgage process again, since the first time it was SUCH a headache. Not so with AFCU. Our Mortgage loan officer was efficient, quick, answered all of our questions and more. It was definitely the opposite of our first experience. We would recommend it to everyone we know!"
