"I will admit that I was a little bit nervous to use the bill pay at first - I was nervous that my payments would not be received but that has not been the case. I don't think that I can ever go back to paying bills another way!! Thank you AFCU for this wonderful service!"

Excellent Banking Website

"Our 6 years of using the AFCU website for banking has been excellent overall. I was not sure about the bill pay feature, but after it passed my test by paying a couple of bills, now it is the way I pay all my recurring bills - in about 5 min per month. We also like the account balance summary and history screens."

Why are you still writing checks?

"My husband and I have been using Bill Pay for about two years now and I don't know if I could ever go back to writing checks again! The other option of setting up automatic withdrawls from an account with several different companies would just frustrate me as I do not have the control of making changes. Sometimes we like to make more than the minimum payment, or send off the payment two weeks before the due date for budgeting purposes and online banking allows us to do that. With the price of stamps going up what seems like every six months or so, we also save 5.00 - 10.00 a month just on postage."

"I am not impressed with the posting of my paid bills to my account records. I just checked again and my bill shows that it paid today but it does not show as posted and deducted from my account. This has on more than one occasion caused an overdraft."

I LOVE ALCU!

"I have been a member for over ten years now. During that time, I have moved states, moved back, needed loans, and the staff at the credit union has always made everything I need SO easy! I am out of town about 200 days a year, and doing all of my banking on line has become fundamental. Not only are my everyday transactions so easy, but I have been grateful to get overnighted new cards when my wallet has been stolen, set up new investment accounts when I've needed to over the phone, a new business... THEY ARE GREAT! And I have never found this kind of customer service anywhere else."

Love AFCU Bill Pay, but have a suggestion

"I really love the functionality of AFCU's Bill Pay. It is so great to have my bill set up to auto-pay, as well as give me reminders and allow me to make one-time payments. I also love that I have the control to make adjustments to the date and amount at any time.

One suggestion I can make it to add the ability to make payments with Bill Pay (or some other option) to AFCU accounts. I would love to be able to set up an recurring payment to my auto and overdraft loans, but also have the control of changing the date and amounts whenever I want to. Right now, my only options are to do a account transfer/payment in real-time (not scheduled) or to have customer service set up a fixed payment date and amount to auto-pay.....and I don't get any reminders right now either. Adding this functionality to your online banking system would be a great benefit.

"Bill Pay is my best friend! It is easy to use and so quick. It makes my bill paying alot less cumbersome. I would recommend it to anyone. My creditors get paid in a timely manner in a more secure method. I save on not purchasing checks as frequently and on postage. It is a great asset to my life!"

"I love using Bill Pay with America First. It is so easy and convenient. I don't have to save my envelopes that i get with my bill and I don't buy stamps. "I am not of fan of bill time. All the tiem to figure what I owe, all the statement that I later have to dispose of. When AFCU started bill pay I started using it right away. I was able to get rid of paper statement. I can tell them when to pay. It keeps track of all the previous payments, when I payed and how much. I never want to go back to writing checks. I love bill pay"

Payment method could be improved.

"Payment in Bill Pay is currently made by some partner of AFCU by check and comes from back east. Electronic payment would be preferred. Or at minimum checks should be issued and sent locally to shorten the turn around time."

"Bill pay is easy to use, will save money on postage, and will save time paying bills. I've only had one problem, I clicked on a pay date and didn't notice it didn't take. The result was the money was transfered on a default date, sooner than I had planned. So on the verification page, make sure all of the information is correct."

"This is the greatest program to come out from a bank. It is quick and easy to work with. No more writing checks and putting postage stamp on envelope. Reconciliation is fast and easy to find entries. Also you can go back many months and still find the paid out entry. Good system."
